Dress Code
To maintain the standards within Lyme Regis Golf Club, members and visitors are asked to observe a good standard of dress at all times.
On the Golf Course
The following items of dress are deemed unacceptable on the course:
- Denim jeans and jackets (blue/black)
- Track suits and jogging suits
- Combat style trousers
- Collarless shirts
- Vests
- Football shirts
- Footwear not designed for golf
- Shorts (knee length tailored shorts are permitted if worn with either knee length socks or white sport socks)
- Shoes without socks
In addition:
- Long trousers must not be tucked into socks unless wearing plus 2's/4's
- Caps must be worn with the peak forward
- Shirts must not be worn outside trousers
In the Clubhouse
The following items of dress are deemed unacceptable in the clubhouse:
- Denim jeans and jackets (blue/black)
- Track suits and jogging suits
- Combat style trousers
- Collarless shirts
- Vests
- Trainers
- Caps and headgear
- Waterproof clothing
Jackets and ties should be worn for all formal events such as presentations.
In the Lounge
Smart casual dress may be worn all day throughout the year.
Mobile Phones
Mobile phones may not be used on the course except the case of genuine emergencies.
The Car Park
Members and visitors are requested not to change clothing in the car park.
Invited Guests
Members are reminded that the dress restrictions above also apply to member's guests both on the course and in the clubhouse. It is the member's responsibility to ensure that guests are appropriately attired at all times.
Any person not conforming to these standards will be asked to dress accordingly or to leave the course or clubhouse
