Lyme Regis Golf Club hosts a variety of Open Events throughout the year. Players of every standard come to Lyme Regis to play golf. Some to win, some to enjoy the views, some to raise money for worthwhile charities. Whichever your preference, everyone is welcome.
Open tournaments are a great way to experience the warm welcome and the challenge that Lyme Regis has to offer, also to meet new playing partners and to make a special day out with your friends.
Most notably we stage our “Classic Golf Week” at the beginning of June where there are a variety of different competitions to suit all players. Players are invited to play in as many days or as little as they would like.
Please be aware that should an open be cancelled before start of play or during start the play, the following refund policy is applicable What if the Open is cancelled due to bad weather

Faldo Futures Junior Open - Wednesday 7th April
The Faldo Futures is an all-inclusive junior golf competiton designed to drive participation and retention among boys and girls aged 7-12. See attached for more information. Application date to be advised
Ladies Coffee Morning Open - Tuesday 6th April
Team Event: 2 from 3 betterball. This is a social golf event with no prizes. Handicap limit 46. Coffee and biscuits on arrival. Raffle, cake stall, plants, crafts to browse and buy.
Mixed Spring Open- Tuesday 4th May
4BBB Mixed pairs, one gent and one lady. All ages, handicap limit Men 28/Ladies 36. Coffee and bacon bap on arrival, one course meal to follow golf.
RNLI Open - Saturday 8th May
3 ball team betterball stableford (any gender). Best 2 scores from 3. All ages, handicap limit Men 28/Ladies 36. Coffee and bacon bap on arrival and one course meal to follow.
Seniors Spring Open - Wednesday 12th May
Mens pairs stableford betterball (4BBB). Best 1 score from each pair to count. Age 55 and over on date of competition. Coffee and bacon bap on arrival, one course meal to follow.
Justin Rose Junior Open - Saturday 22nd May
Individual strokeplay. Age limit 18 or under on 1st January 2027. Handicap limit Boys 28/Girls 36 Higher handicaps may apply but must play to handicap limit and may be balloted out if oversubscribed. This is a Justin Rose Telegraph Junor Golf Championship qualifier.
George Hoare Trophy - Saturday 12th June
Individual Scratch 36 hole medal competiton played in 3s. All ages. Handicap limit 8. Higher handicaps may apply buy may be balloted out if oversubscribed. Qualifies for the DCGU Order of Merit - Race to Remedy Oak. One course sandwich meal provided between rounds.
